‘Legendary’ fly fishing and travel business up for sale

What has been described as a legendary fly fishing store in the US has been put up for sale following the impending retirement of its owner.

Bob Marriott’s Fly Fishing Store is said to be one of the largest retailers of its kind in the world and the accompanying Wild on the Fly Adventure Travel has been offering fly anglers tailored fishing experiences in exotic destinations. Both have been in business for over 40 years. “My wife and I are ready to focus on family and fully embrace life as grandparents. While stepping away is bittersweet, it is time to pass the torch to someone who will continue the legacy of the shop and travel business,” said owner, Kevin Bell.

Situated in Fullerton, California, the store enjoys a prime location with access to year-long fishing in Sierra Nevada and the Pacific coast alongside a robust internet sales platform that generates a steady revenue from an international audience.

“For over three decades, this shop and travel department has been my passion and cornerstone of my life,” added Bell. “From working for Bob Marriott to becoming an owner, it has been an incredible journey filled with cherished memories, friendships and adventures.”
