Plans are being finalised for the 2025 Angling International LIVE trade show following a survey amongst exhibitors on the best date for the event. Organisers will confirm and announce the new date by the end of November.
Meanwhile, powerful testimonials are amassing in support of the first Angling International LIVE show held in Budapest in September. They include one exhibitor who has contacted Angling International to reveal that the value of his company ‘has doubled’ thanks to a deal struck on the show floor at the HUNGEXPO.
The exhibitor, who has decided against being named while the deal is being finalised, told Angling International: “I am not exaggerating, the value of my company has doubled off the back of one meeting. I don’t believe I could have achieved such a result without attending the show.”
Angling International LIVE in September attracted exhibitors from every major global tackle market. Among the satisfied European exhibitors were multi-award winning Mustad, which reported a ‘great show’ and Energofish from the host nation Hungary, which announced a new distribution deal during the show for the Relix brand from Indonesia.
Newcomers to B2B trade shows were particularly well rewarded for their attendance at the show. Among the most successful were Egyptian Fishing Tackle, which was at Budapest to demonstrate the quality of its hooks made in Egypt. The company’s owner, Dr Ahmed Sedan, said: “I was very pleased with reaction of visitors and made contact with over 20 businesses.”
Norolan from Finland was at the show to showcase its handmade lures and confirmed that it too picked up solid business contacts right from a ‘great first day’.
Among those determined to be on the show floor at Angling International LIVE in 2025 is Vagner Corporation, which won four awards on its trade show debut at the HUNGEXPO. Owner Jakub Vagner said: “My entire team and I were very satisfied with the fair. My goal at the show was to get new distributors for the Vagner fishing brand and as far as that was concerned, I succeeded.”
The organisers of the show are now assessing all reactions from attendees, including opinions on the best time of year to hold the event in 2025.
Rob Carter, co-owner of Angling International LIVE, said: “It’s clear that this year’s attendees want another show from us. What we need to do now is build on our success this year by attracting more exhibitors and visitors.
“We want to double the number of booths and increase visitor numbers by three times. To do that we need a date that serves as many businesses in the trade as possible.
“Our promise is to connect the trade in Europe, but that does not mean we are limited to European businesses. Angling International LIVE is a tackle trade show with global appeal, so that means we need a date that suits tackle businesses in the USA, Japan, India and China. We are working on that right now.”
