Angling International LIVE exhibitors: ‘Let’s do it again!’

Share

More than 30% of exhibitors at the first ever Angling International LIVE show have already signed up for the next event when it returns from September 18th to 20th next year.

The show will take place in Bratislava – just a shuttle bus ride away from the main airport and international hub of the Austrian capital of Vienna.

Exhibitors will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds with the combination of great value-priced booths and affordable accommodation in the historic and beautiful city of Bratislava on the banks of the River Danuba and the charm and attractions of Vienna just a short trip away. The Austrian capital proved to be a firm favourite with visitors and exhibitors alike when it staged a European trade show in 2013.

“This year’s Angling International LIVE was a huge success for exhibitors who reported high quality meetings despite the small size of the event, which was to be expected in the current economic climate. We filled a gap in the trade show calendar in Europe, and I know that was gratefully received by those in the industry,” said Rob Carter, owner of Angling International and a joint-owner of the show.

“We are pleased that the high level of business achieved by so many of our exhibitors more than covered their investment in the show. There were great reports from small and medium-sized companies getting up to 20 high quality leads from not only across Europe but all over the world.

“But this year’s event was much more than a traditional trade show. It included innovative marketing packages designed to ensure each exhibitor got the most out of their commitment to supporting the show and the introduction of stage show presentations throughout the three days giving those involved the opportunity to talk about their business and highlight their very latest products.”

Erick Arnoldson, Sales and Marketing Director of Livingston Lures, made the long trip from Texas and reported a best-ever European show for the company. He told Angling International: “All the visitors to our booth meant business and we took another very positive step on our journey to establish a foothold in Europe.”

Norolan, a Scandinavian brand that turned heads with its handcrafted Finnish lures, returned home with leads from more than 12 visitors from all regions of Europe. “Before the show we expected about three serious enquires,” said founder Jyrki Kasanen. “To achieve what we did was just the start we needed in our business expansion plan.”

Ahmed Zedan, CEO of Egyptian Fishing Tackle (EFT), said he has spent six years developing his hook making business in readiness for its launch in Europe and he was delighted with 21 solid business contacts made during the three-day event. “Building up brand awareness was our main aim at the show,” he said. “We could not have been happier with the event.”

Brothers Pierre and Morgan Binet of French-based lure maker Autoboats admitted that they took a big risk committing to their first ever European trade show, but said it was time and money well spent with ten solid enquiries alone on the first morning of the event.
