UK retailer to open Europe’s biggest outdoor store

GO Outdoors – one of the UK’s largest suppliers of fishing tackle – is set to open Europe’s biggest outdoor store this weekend.

The company, which is owned by JD Sports, will unveil a new 130,000 square feet premises on the outskirts of York. It will be home to its dedicated Fishing Republic franchise and will welcome members of the public during a special celebration weekend on September 7 and 8.

The size of two football pitches, the new GO Outdoors retail store will house 380 brands in total, including all the major fishing tackle suppliers, the biggest Garmin range in the UK and the largest YETI portfolio in Europe.
