When the world-leading sonar maker Deeper decided to create a bait boat, it aimed to make it the easiest to use on the market. That was how the Deeper Quest was born: coming with everything you need for carp fishing, it works right out of the box.
“We wanted to make a product that would be as easy to use as taking it out of the box and turning it on. No assembling, no tightening screws, no attaching additional wires to batteries – pressing the power button to turn it on is all you need to do before you can enjoy your fishing experience,” says Donatas Malinauskas, co-founder of Deeper.
“Having never developed similar products before allowed us to take the bottom-up approach: we made the actual needs for the carp fishing community the core of our process,” he adds.
Constructing a bait boat that would meet these standards took two years. Deeper’s team worked closely with carp anglers, observing their habits and the difficulties they faced while using products currently in the market. Then, it made sure Deeper Quest would have none of those.
“When making Deeper Quest, the ease of use was our priority. Even individuals without any technical knowledge were supposed to be able to use it effortlessly and utilise all its features. That was why we custom-designed an external-wires-free battery system. Our bait boat also has a unique rig hopper that can use PVA bags or even carry liquids,” says Vytautas Zelvys, Deeper Quest Product Manager.
Quest’s autonomous area scanning allows carp anglers to gather data without constant supervision. They can efficiently set up their equipment and save time, all while gaining insights into underwater structures.
Deeper Quest hardware is seamlessly integrated with the Fish Deeper app, enhancing functionality, enabling precise navigation, area scans, route missions, and making a return to favoured spots effortless. The unlimited number of waypoints allows fishing enthusiasts to explore the most diverse lakes with the same ease.
Deeper Quest comes with flagship Deeper CHIRP technology and a house-built navigation system, providing the most accurate sonar data within one-metre accuracy.
The boat is powered by rechargeable Li-ion batteries, offering a run-time of up to seven hours or approximately a 20-kilometre range. Recharging is convenient via the bait boat’s USB-C power delivery system. It also comes with a backpack and essential maintenance tools – all one needs for uninterrupted fishing sessions.
The boat has already gained significant interest in the carp-fishing community: the first 1000 Deeper Quest units have already been sold out.
