Canadian marine sportfishing equipment supplier Scotty Fishing & Outdoor Products is returning to the European trade show in Budapest next month to meet its growing army of distributors in the region.
The company, which last attended the European show in Brussels in 2019, is looking forward to reconnecting with its business partners from an impressive list of countries that include the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Norway and the UK.
New Products Manager Ryan Emile told Angling International: “A European show is very important to us as this is the focal point to meet all our existing customers as well as potential new ones.
“The show will also give us the opportunity the show off the new Scotty Seeker which made its debut at last month’s ICAST trade show and rekindle old relationships with people we have not seen since pre-COVID.
“The European market is very important to Scotty as we continue to grow and establish new markets for our products abroad.”
Emile added that Scotty is looking to add to its growing European export base and has targeted Germany, France, Spain and countries in the east of the region as top priorities.
Scotty is looking to excite visitors to its booth at Angling International LIVE with the Scotty Seeker, described as the most technically advanced downrigger probe system on the market. With the capability of reporting depth, speed and temperature, the Seeker probe transmits back to the boat for display on the Seeker App on Garmin, Lowrance and mobile device screens.
The development of the Scotty Seeker was a collaborative effort by Scotty and Airmar Technology, the leading manufacturer of marine transducers and the company that brought Chirp sonar technology to the recreational fishing market. Airmar’s expertise in acoustic underwater communication and software development has delivered a probe system that communicates data from the downrigger ball location faster than any other method.
