Emmanuel Viellard has been appointed Chairman of the Rapala VMC Board. He replaces Louis d’Alancon, who had held the position since 2018.
The appointment was confirmed at the company’s AGM yesterday, just three days after the death of board member and former CEO Jorma Kasslin.
The meeting approved that the Board should comprise six members. Emmanuel Viellard, Julia Aubertin, Vesa Luhtanen and Alexander Rosenlew were re-elected and Pascal Lebard and Johan Berg were elected as new members. The board chairman will receive an annual fee of €70,000, while other members receive €25,000.
The meeting confirmed the Board’s proposal that no dividend be paid, based on the adopted balance sheet for financial year 2023.
The AGM approved the Board’s proposal to repurchase a maximum two million of the company’s own shares (around 5% of the total shares) for purposes including the development of the company’s capital structure, the financing of potential acquisitions or other business purposes and for remuneration or incentive plans.
