Shimano has unveiled its latest spinning reel packed with its Infinity technologies and aimed at anglers who demand winding power and agility.
The TWIN POWER is a ‘culmination of over 30 years of relentless dedication to craftsmanship, undeniable power and the pursuit of angling perfection,’ says Shimano. And here is why it offers ‘Pure Power’ to retailers and anglers alike:

The TWIN POWER stands tall on a legacy of reliability and unmatched winding power, says Shimano: “For over three decades, TWIN POWER has been synonymous with smoothness and relentless power. The latest TWIN POWER continues this tradition, blending advanced technology, meticulous design and superior Japanese craftsmanship into one reel.” It is designed to be perfect for high-resistance lures that demand efficient smooth winding power, and offers the best of both worlds – agility and power in one package.
What’s it like inside?
The TWIN POWER boasts an ultra-light, super-rigid aluminium body and rotor, enhanced with the latest Shimano reel technologies. Featuring HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP, Micro Module II, Silent Drive, and three exclusive ‘INFINITY’ technologies, this reel, says Shimano, is ‘a technological marvel.’
INFINITYXROSS: Features wider gear teeth for more power and durability, especially under extreme pressure, which in turn increases the lifespan of the reel. The reel works to its maximum ‘original’ performance for longer without degradation.
INFINITYLOOP: Ultra-slow spool oscillation reduces the speed the line travels up and down the spool on the cast. This results in less friction and vibration as line leaves the spool and reduces drag on the lure, which improves casting distance and accuracy. When playing fish, the line is released from the turning spool more smoothly, increasing control.
INFINITYDRIVE: Enables light, but extremely powerful winding, which helps to fight powerful fish, even under extreme pressure.
Additional features, including G-FREE BODY, X PROTECT, LONG STROKE SPOOL, SILENT DRIVE, and RIGID SUPPORT DRAG, further enhance the TWIN POWER’s performance.
Trouble free line management and fish playing excellence
The ANTI-TWIST FIN is a removable fin placed on the inside of the rotor next to the line roller. Should the line go slack, the ANTI-TWIST FIN automatically prevents it from falling away from the line roller, ensuring continuous control. And if all of that isn’t enough, TWIN POWER uses Shimano’s best drag system called DURACROSS, which offers ultimate drag smoothness, durability and hooking power for assured, confident fish-playing.

The TWIN POWER joins the ranks of legendary reels like the Stella, says Shimano, continuing the tradition of excellence that changed the history of spinning reels over a generation ago. The new TWIN POWER is available in ten models ranging from 2000 to 5000 sizes, in a selection of gear ratio configurations and is also saltwater safe. It is available in stores from spring 2024. at suggested retail prices starting from €469.95.
