Rimini’s Pescare show 2026 set to double in size

Share

Taking place from February 13 to 15, the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) is preparing to welcome enthusiasts, professionals and companies to the Pescare Show, which will bring together sport, hobbies and nature.

Following the success of its debut in Rimini last year, an even bigger and more comprehensive 2026 edition of the fair in Italy is being planned – more than doubling in size.

The event, organised by the IEG, will take place at the Rimini Expo Centre and Rimini Riviera and has doubled in exhibition space and further expanded its international dimension.

Pescare 2026 will cover all aspects of recreational and sport fishing across its six halls, from sea and fly to coarse, including everything for the bass, carp and spinning anglers. The indoor pools at the Expo Centre will once again host casting ponds where world renowned fishermen will be taking part in demonstrations.

“As confirmation of the event’s growing international appeal, an entire hall has been reserved for the World Casting and Fly Casting Championship,” said Valentina Fioramonti, Group Exhibition Manager of the Wellness & Outdoor Division of the IEG.

“It will be the first time that the event has been held indoors and it has been organised by the industry representative body, FIPSAS, and ICTS (International Casting Sport Federation), bringing together over 100 athletes from ten countries.

“The event will be hosted in the unique setting of the Rimini Expo Centre and the Riviera, adding extra value to the show,” added Fioramonti. “With a strong emphasis on hospitality, the maritime world, nature and the outdoors, the local area, the event enriches the experience of the audience. The renewed collaboration with the Rimini Nautical Club, a member of IGFA (the International Game Fish Association), will see it play a key role in territorial promotion through educational projects and outdoor initiatives, including boat test drives activities involving local companies, partners and institutions.

“The whole experience is organised around training, entertainment and technical culture. The Fishing Arena will host sessions on sportfishing, recreational fishing and fishing tourism with contributions from FIPSAS, representatives of the Emilia-Romagna region and an abundance of guest panelists.”

New for 2026 will be an area dedicated to the ever-growing lure fishing sector. It will feature a group of Italian artisans, crafting baits and offering advice to anglers on how to develop their own lures.

Fly fishing excellence will be represented by the Fly Fishing Experience where around 20 Italian and international fly producers and brands will be showing off their skills.

The Live Streaming Stage has been coordinated by Inside Fishing and will host interviews and live broadcasts featuring topics of the day relevant to fishing and the environment.

New attendees at the show will include representatives from the International Casting for Recovery Association, which through teaching fly casting techniques, helps to rehabilitate women who have gone through cancer. There will also be an Art in Fishing Exhibition created in collaboration with H20 magazine and the Stanislao Kuckiewicz International Fishing Museum which will feature works by Italian artists inspired by fishing imagery.
