Shimano North America Fishing has announced that its President is stepping down after nearly four decades with the group and has revealed his successor.
Dave Pfeiffer (pictured) will relinquish his role at the head of the company in the US at the end of March this year, to be replaced by Jason Livermore, currently Senior Vice President.
Pfeiffer’s career with Shimano spans nearly 40 years across sales, marketing, product planning, strategic development and executive leadership. He has served as President of Shimano US since 2017.
“Working for my entire career with Shimano has been the greatest honour,” said Pfeiffer. “The company represents the highest quality products and business standards which have guided my career and leadership of the business.
“It has truly been a dream to combine my passion for fishing with my life’s work at Shimano. I will cherish the people who I have worked with and my colleagues throughout the industry.”
Pfeiffer will remain involved with Shimano North America Fishing, moving into a new role as Vice Chairman, Executive Advisor and lead for industry advocacy, continuing to support the organisation and broader fishing community he has helped to shape.
Livermore will assume his duties as President on April 1. He brings more than 24 years of experience in the outdoor and sporting goods industries.
“Jason is a respected leader within our organisation with an increasingly influential voice within the industry,” said Pfeiffer. “His strategic mindset, commitment to people and dedication to our partners make him the ideal person to guide Shimano North America Fishing into its next chapter.”
