Germany’s ANGELWELT show has reaffirmed its position as Europe’s leading fair for the recreational fishing community, celebrating what the organiser says was its most successful event since its launch in 2007.
The show, which finished today (Sunday), drew huge crowds and delivered a record number of exhibitors for the three day event – up 20% compared to the previous year.
“We are overwhelmed by the response,” said Felix Steinacker, Head of ANGELWELT. “The fair was not only fully booked from the exhibitor’s side but attracted angling enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels with an intensity unmatched by any other event.
“ANGELWELT has become the must-attend show for the entire community.”
André Giermann, Managing Director of STROFT, was equally satisfied: “The fair went sensationally well. We had even more visitors than last year. The organisers succeeded in curating a mix of manufacturers that included all the big players – and that draws people in. Plus, Berlin is always worth a visit, so many guests travelled here especially for the show”.
Patrik Zander, founder of Zvivlo, the ‘no backlash’ reel brand that everyone is talking about, said: “We were beyond thrilled by the tidal wave of interest and excitement at ANGELWELT. From the greenest beginners to the fiercest world champions, everyone who gripped our reels was instantly captivated.”
Toon Van Ham, Sales Manager, Marketing and Product Development at Fairpoint Outdoors A/S, owner of the Westin Fishing brand, added: “At Fairpoint, we strive to be the number one partner in the angling business. With the German team and international support it was a busy weekend at ANGELWELT Berlin.
“As one of the key fishing fairs in Europe, it was the perfect moment to present new products for SP25. A big thanks to the complete team for the help and effort they put in at the show. It is always good to make new connections and see old friends again.”
