The company, which has already set up a presence in the country with its own website, says that it was always the dream of its founder Keito Kato set up a business in the US.
Jackson’s US version of Trout BFS hardbaits are equipped with premium single barbless hooks which are required for most wild trout fields in the States and believes that the style of fishing will be the next boom in the US and is committed to providing products that are suitable for the US field characteristics.
Surf fishing has also been extremely popular in Japan for the last few decades and Jackson has been one of the most popular brands, particularly with anglers fishing its user-friendly hardbaits.
Jackson started life as a US bass tackle importer in 1975, developing its own range of lures in 1980. It is currently owned and operated by Keita Kato (main picture), son of the founder.
