Japanese tackle supplier Fisherman Corporation is taking advantage of the ‘rare’ opportunity that Angling International LIVE gives brands to meet with potential European customers.
The company’s Rie Takeuchi told Angling International: “The event is important to Fisherman Corporation. In Budapest last year we were able to meet new customers and gain new sales channels as well as having relaxed meetings with existing partners. It was also enjoyable to watch the interviews with industry figures on stage.
“We were also proud to pick up an award in the Product Showcase for our Sashami knife.”
A winner of the DESIGN PLUS Award at the Ambiente Messe in Germany, the KASUMI DAMASCUS SASHIMI 21cm Knife has a ‘super’ hard VG-10 alloy as its core material. It features the KASAMI (haze) pattern which is a result of forging a blade consisting of 21 layers of stainless steel. Carefully finished by professionals, the cut is said to last longer than other knives, even allowing for constant use.
Fisherman Corporation is an established tackle supplier and currently has business connections in 84 countries. It is looking forward to visiting Bratislava in June. “We are happy with the timing. The climate is just right – and it may give us an opportunity to do some fishing in the Czech Republic!”
