Partnership aims to boost fishing Olympic Games bid

A partnership has been announced which hopes to help recreational fishing become an Olympic sport.

USAngling and Fishbites have announced an agreement that will support its national USA Surf Fishing team and help an Olympic Games bid.

“The USA Surf Fishing team is blessed to work with such a great American bait and lure maker. Surf fishing is an extremely popular sport worldwide and we believe that it has a chance for Olympic recognition because the format is so simple and non-invasive,” said USAngling President, Tony Forte. “We love that Fishbites products are American-made and they flat-out catch fish.”

The fourth Pan American Surf Fishing Championships takes place later this year in Costa Rica. “The entire Fishbites team is thrilled about this partnership and we are proud to support the National USA Surf Fishing Team,” said Courtney Woznek, VP of Marketing and Advertising. “We understand the importance of the mission of USAngling and believe our visions align to get more people of all ages hooked on fishing.”
