Watch! Iconic match brand launches new range of feeder rods

A new range of feeder rods from Garbolino is now available in retailers across Europe and the UK.

The iconic match fishing brand was able to call on the services of top feeder international Darren Cox, recently-crowned Masters Feeder World Champion Simon Fry and French international and national champion Michael Letscher to develop the Essential line-up over the past 18 months.

“This range is already proving extremely popular with anglers, and retailers are reporting great sales and reordering regularly,” said  Garbolino in a statement announcing the news.

“These rods offer genuine innovative benefits to feeder anglers at the ideal price, whilst offering the retailer great margins and a comprehensive marketing campaign to help drive sales.”

The Garbolino Essential Legend & Essential X-Tend ranges of feeder rods offer a whole host of high performance features, including:

• Super-slim, fast-action, high quality carbon blanks with perfectly blended Superflex colour-coded tips in both glass and carbon ranging from 0.125oz to 3oz.
• The lower part of the semi-parabolic blanks offer the necessary backbone to cast accurately every time, yet maintain the correct amount of blend and cushion in the tip/middle sections to play fish without fear of losing them.
• Each rod has lightweight, stand-off, anti-tangle guides throughout and a thin cork handle with flat EVA base to provide extra grip when playing fish. Quality reel seats and hook keepers are also provided.
• Several of the rods in the range come with a 300mm extension, manually fitted between the butt and next section, to extend to make them more versatile. Others incorporate a special internal extension which comes from within the butt section, again giving that extra 300mm to aid casting in the wind, or for playing fish away from near bank obstacles.

The cleverly-designed Essential feeder rods cover all casting weights and distances, from the sensitive action 10ft/3m Essential Legend X-Light, ideal for short distance delicate silver fishing work, through to the Essential X-Tend Super Distance Feeder, which will handle big fish and cast big heavy feeders way beyond 100m in the right hands.
