Rapala VMC’s outgoing CEO has been presented with one of Finland’s most prestigious honours.
As reported by Angling International last month, Lars Ollberg was awarded the Commander of the Order of the Lion of Finland – a top honour to mark Finland’s Independence Day. And today he received the award from Jussi Nuorteva, former Chancellor of the Orders of the White Rose of Finland and Lion of Finland, which he dedicated to the entire staff of Rapala VMC Corporation.
“I am humbled and especially proud on behalf of everyone at the company who has played a major role in making Rapala the world’s favourite fishing brand,” he said.
Ollberg is set to retire from the Finnish tackle giant in March and will be replaced by Cyrille Viellard as CEO and President.
