BKK plans expansion into European predator market in 2025

Last year has been hailed as ‘significant’ for trendsetting Chinese hook and accessories maker BKK.
BKK says it was a period marked by ‘exceptional’ achievements. And at the top of the tree was its success at ICAST, the world’s largest fishing tackle trade show, for a departure from its top selling range of hooks in the shape of the innovative OCD Tackle Storage System. The winner of the Tackle Management category at the show comes fully loaded with all the hooks an angler would need.

The company says that sales have been robust and, added to the success of the ARMORPOINT series of hooks in the US bass market, led to a sound financial year for the business, leading to confidence for the upcoming 12 months.
“We are optimistic about 2025 and are strategically focusing on key product launches,” says BKK. “These include the expansion of the ARMORPOINT Series to cover European predator techniques for local species like zander, pike and perch and the introduction of the highly anticipated Viper 61 for giant bluefin tuna. Additionally, we will be introducing updates to the OCD fully-loaded kit which will further improve tackle organisation.
“Anglers can also expect an expansion of the range of products made with BKK’s proprietary HCS ((Hyper Carbon Steel) material to offer consumers stronger and sharper hooks.
“The fishing tackle industry faces challenges such as sustainability pressures and supply chain optimisation. However, BKK remains committed to innovation by leveraging eco-friendly materials and advanced manufacturing technologies to ensure sustainable growth. 2025 will be all about taking angling experiences to the next level. With our expertise and passion we aim to empower anglers worldwide to ‘hook’ their dream.”
