Redington learns from the past to deliver an Ace

When Redington introduces a new reel, the fly fishing world sits up and takes notice.

The award-winning Far Bank Enterprises brand says that with the new Ace reel, it has upped the ante and used its learnings from previous generations, doubling down with innovations and improvements across the board.

Its technology includes:

Lattice Structure: Designed to work like a bridge or truss system, the Ace features a first-of-its-kind geometry for a strong, lightweight and rigid spool.

Machined cold forged aluminium: Redington says it has gone ‘all in’ on durability by using a cold-forged aluminium to maximise strength and durability,

Drag System: With learnings from previous reel designs, Redington says it took the Ace reel to the next level with a carbon fibre drag that will outlast everyone at the table.
