Former Simms marketing head returns as President

A former Grundéns CEO has returned to Simms Fishing Products as President of the brand and its parent Revelyst Outdoor Performance.
Dave Mellon, who was Vice President of Marketing and Product at the fly fishing brand from 2012 to 2014, took up the dual role last month based at Bozeman, Montana, home to Simms and other iconic outdoor brands within the Revelyst portfolio.
“Dave brings a rare combination of global operating expertise, financial acumen and authentic outdoor brand leadership, including direct experience in the angling business with Simms,” said Eric Nyman, CEO of Revelyst. “He understands the technical performance consumer, the importance of our retailers and the necessity of building strong teams and strong brands. Dave is exceptionally well-positioned to lead Simms and Revelyst Outdoor Performance as we continue to strengthen the platform and pursue meaningful long-term growth opportunities.”
