Top industry manufacturers line-up at major European fly show

More than 100 exhibitors from over 25 countries will be presenting their latest products at the 21st Experience the World of Fly Fishing (EWF) in Germany next month.
European sportfishing journalist, Rudi van Duijnhoven, said: “Whether it is top-quality fly fishing equipment, high-quality materials, creative tying techniques or exclusive travel offers to the most beautiful waters in the world – the EWF brings together everything that makes a fly fisher’s heart beat faster and makes every visit a special event.
“All major brands are represented at the fly fishing show, where manufacturers and wholesale companies can find new dealers for their products.”
Erin Hyde and Alex Burnett, known the world over as ‘Shetiesflies’, will tie flies at the booth of the Atlantic Salmon Trust, together with Charles Jardine.
At the largest fly casting pool outside there will be a continuous single-hand and double-hand fly casting programme with well known international fly fishers like Steffen Schulz, Miren Elosegui, Niklaus Bauer, Jan Erik Granbo, Jonas Hölz, Trond Syrstad, Eberhard Scheibe, Thibault Giband, Paddy McDonnell and Ralf Hoppe.
At the second pool you can try out new tackle, follow a clinic or learn how to cast your first fly under the guidance of, among others, Tom Brown. This is also were children gather and are taught how to cast a fly. There will also be a special programme for female fly fishers, which will be presented by Lucinda Ewin. There is a full list of presentations on numerous subjects around fly fishing destinations, fly fishing and fly tying equipment.
The event takes place on April 18 and 19 in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich.
