Germany’s ANGELWELT has not only established itself as Europe’s largest public fishing show, but is also gathering pace as a central meeting point for the trade.
The fishing extravaganza held annually in Berlin, which has the backing of the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association (EFTTA) – the representative body for the industry in the region – offers manufacturers, distributors and retailers an ‘unparalleled’ opportunity to showcase new products, strengthen partnerships and gain insights from both industry professionals and end consumers, according to its chief organiser Felix Steinacker.
“While ANGELWELT has always been known for its consumer reach, the trade element is becoming increasingly important to us. We aim to provide an efficient and professional environment where business can be done, whether through B2B networking opportunities, international buyer programmes or a special trade-only format,” Steinacker told Angling International.
“Going forward we foresee ANGELWELT becoming a stronger hybrid platform, showcasing innovation to consumers while also serving as a marketplace and networking hub for the global fishing industry.”
Steinacker added that ANGELWELT’s partnership with EFTTA is ‘extremely valuable’ – a fact underlined by the association staging its Industry Summit during the show. “Our relationship underlines our role as a professional platform that connects the industry across Europe.
“EFTTA brings credibility, expertise and an international network that strengthens the trade side of ANGELWELT. It ensures that we are aligned with the broader goals of the European tackle trade, from sustainability initiatives to supporting the business environment in which our exhibitors and partners operate.
“Our goal is to establish ANGELWELT as the key annual event for not only anglers, but also the global fishing industry.”
