Arild Aakre, former Head of Global Sales at Cermaq, a worldwide supplier of salmon with operations in Norway, Chile, Canada and the US, has filled the gap left by Kenni Riise, who left Mustad as CEO earlier this year and was replaced on an interim basis by former Pure Fishing executive Grant Ottignon-Harris.
Writing on his LinkedIn page, Aakre said: “I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been appointed CEO of O. Mustad & Son AS. Mustad is the world’s largest manufacturer of fishing hooks for sport and commercial applications with a global presence spanning countries like China, Malaysia, the USA, Portugal, Norway and Singapore, Mustad is truly a world-class brand.
“I’m eager to leverage our strong international footprint and collaborate with our talented teams across the world to drive innovation, enhance our brand and deliver exceptional value to our customers worldwide.”
