Shimano reveals NINE end-of-2024 offshore fishing rod launches

Shimano has announced the launch of nine new offshore fishing rods that are being launched in the latter half of 2024.

Dialuna

Japan Fishing Tackle News has revealed the exciting line-up which includes the Dialuna Series that has been designed for seabass, trevally and bream and comes with a telescopic model. Known for its lightweight yet powerful performance, it integrates Spiral X and High-Power X technologies into the blanks, enhancing strength and flexibility.

Despite being a three-piece with multiple joints, it is designed to maintain a smooth bending curve that distributes the load while strengthening the joint areas.

Scheduled for release next month.

Nessa SS

A budget-friendly version of the Nessa XR, it has been designed with a more flexible blank that bends more easily.

This model is designed for surf casting, where distance casting is key, and beginners. Scheduled for release this month.

Coltsniper Limited Big Game

Top tier big game shore rod, the Coltsniper Limited (main picture) now has a super heavy-duty version to target kingfish and GT from the rocks.

Sephia SS Tip Eging

A rod designed for Japan’s popular squid fishing method from boats, Tip Eging.

A more affordable SS-class rod, it features a solid tip. Taftec Infinity is incorporated to balance strength and sensitivity, which is especially crucial at the tip where detecting subtle bites is crucial.

The resin parts are made from Ci4+, making the rod light, flexible, strong and highly sensitive. On sale now.

Soare Limited

Japan Fishing Tackle News says: “The pinnacle of light saltwater game rods has arrived – and it looks stunning.”

The Soare features a lightweight, ultra-sensitive carbon monocoque grip. The rod is equipped with the X-Guides system across all guide frames and a high sensitivity solid tip with High Response Solid Technology. The blanks are wrapped with the evolved Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X technologies.
