Luna Sea Sports designed the Leader-Mate to eliminate that frustration by providing a simple, organised way to store leaders and essential rigging components directly on the rod.
The brand – part of the Elvisridge Capital private investment firm and the name behind the popular Cush-It rod cushion – is looking to extend its export reach internationally with a line-up of innovative products designed to protect anglers’ tackle that have been proven across its home market in the USA.
A product that is ideal for international markets, the Leader-Mate is a lightweight, premium plastic foam fishing accessory that securely snaps onto a fishing rod. Once in place, it allows anglers to neatly wrap freshwater or saltwater leaders around the body of the Leader-Mate for clean storage and quick access. Monofilament, fluorocarbon and even wire leaders can be stored without kinking or tangling.

To expand the system for lighter tackle and more compact set-ups, Luna Sea Sports also offers the Leader-Mate Mini. Designed with a smaller profile, the Mini snaps onto the rod just like the original Leader-Mate but is optimised for lighter leaders and terminal tackle. It delivers the same organised, tangle-free storage in a more compact format, making it ideal for inshore fishing, freshwater applications and anglers who prefer a lighter, streamlined setup.
