Owner of Blackfin Rods and FINS Fishing adds to portfolio

The owner of Blackfin Rods, FINS Fishing and Glacier Outdoor has added to its portfolio.

Elvisridge Capital – the Ohio-based private investment firm with interests in the fishing and landscape/hardscape product sectors – has acquired Luna Sea, a brand known for its signature Cush-It rod protectors and other foam fishing products.

Announcing the acquisition, an Elvisridge spokesperson said that Luna Sea’s operations will be based at the Blackfin Rods facility in Hobe Sound, Florida, with opportunities for growth through collaboration, innovation and expanded market reach: “By leveraging shared expertise in product development, manufacturing and distribution, we aim to drive continued success for Luna Sea under the Elvisridge Capital umbrella.”

Founded in 2002 by owner Mick Saunders, Luna Sea comprises of the Cush-It, Leader-Mate and Ultra Float brands, headquartered in Michigan.
