UK tackle supplier Sonik Sports and its new Nytro brand will be back in Budapest this year after an incredible show in 2023.
The company will be showing off a huge range of new tackle to visitors to Angling International LIVE which will include rods, reels, lines and innovative fishing rod rests.
Sonik Sizzla Super Stove
Includes the new Heat Kontrol burner technology which allows for a wider range of power settings and redesigned Low Flow gas ports for a more stable power output, especially on low settings. The integral Windscreen burner construction keeps combustion stable and the pre-heat coil means that gas consumption is always optimsed and efficient. It is extremely stable thanks to four infinitely adjustable legs with wide stance and a low centre of gravity. Made to last, it comes in a tough nylon carry bag. Suitable for use with EN417 ISO screw thread butane/propane canisters. Power: 2800W.
Sonik Xtractor+ Carp Rods
The longest serving and most successful Sonik rod range ever. Its predecessor set new standards in terms of performance, quality, reliability and value for money, demonstrating perfectly the brand’s carbon engineering prowess.
Quite a lot has changed with the new kids on the block, making them even lighter and more responsive. The new RAW-Carbon finish is super tough and gives a glimpse into the internal construction of the blank. It is built using super light M Series DL black guides, deluxe matte black DPS reel seat and a slim Japanese shrink rubber handle with subtle flared grip. The range covers compact rod lengths extending to 6ft, 9ft and 10ft, a dedicated 10ft spod model, plus the addition of an 8ft Xtractor+ Recon. Test curves covered are from 2.75lb through to 3.5lb depending on the length of the rod. All models in the range carry a 40mm butt ring and anti-frap tip guides.
Xtractor+ Carbon Reels
Taking the range to the next level. The wormshaft gear system ensures excellent line lay and super smooth casting. All models have a Quick Torque drag system and a floating rotor line guide to ensure tangle-free operation. With ‘Quick Clik’ folding handles, twin spring-loaded line clips and micro line lay adjustment washers, the range offers exceptional value and performance. There are three models to choose from: Xtractor+ 5000, Xtractor+ GS (gold spool) or the sleek looking Xtractor+ 5000 Carbon.
Xtractor+ Twin Tip
Described as a superbly crafted compact specialist rod designed with two tip sections – one Avon style and the other a quivertip carrier section. The Avon tip is rated at 1.5tc and the carrier section will accommodate one of three quivertips (supplied) – 4oz, 5oz or 6oz. Ideal for species like barbel and chub on running waters.

Nytro Sublime Power Rig Fluoro
Perfect fluorocarbon for tying shock leaders and hooklengths. During its design, Nytro said it focused on enhancing knot strength, a feature typically lacking in fluorocarbon lines.

Nytro Steady Sliding Double Rest
Designed to not only precisely position one or two rods, but also move the rod slightly to release or increase the tension on the tip without moving the feeder. Rest can be fixed with the universal screw fitting under the butt grip or leave it loose so it can be constantly adjusted.
The butt grips are designed to hold rods with varying handle diameters. The duo-level allows rods to be loosely positioned in the top or pushed downward into the base for extra grip. The soft grip material allows the rods to be held firmly in place when needed, while still allowing a quick release of the rods when you get a bite or when you need to cast again. Perfect when fishing on higher banks where your rod points downwards and you need extra grip.
This backrest is also ideal when fishing a sleeper-rod when practice fishing.

Nytro Steady Sliding Method Rest
Anglers said they needed a bigger method rest with a sliding function so it could be put in any position. That is exactly what Nytro has done with a bigger sliding rest for feeder fishing on commercials. It features a one-sided protruded sickle that prevents rods from being ‘yanked’ off the rest. You can now lay your rod in multiple positions along the rest and slide the base all the way left or right, to improve the angle on your feeder arm. All sections feature a small slot so you can make minor adjustments to the tension on the tip.
The Steady Sliding Method Rest allows you to fish two rods alongside each other.
