New Okuma ITX CB puts focus on stability and performance

Share

Okuma has built on the popularity of the ITX Carbon spinning reel with the introduction of the ITX CB, designed specifically for freshwater and light inshore fishing.

This spinning reel has been crafted on Japanese domestic market specifications with a focus on stability and performance, says the maker.

The Flite Drive system enhances gear stability and smoothness, allowing for a seamless fishing experience. The multi-disk Carbonite drag washers with Hydro Block gasket ensure a smooth and consistent drag, while the A7075 spool shaft and key drag washers significantly reduce weight, making it easier to handle and cast.

The ITX CB spinning reel comes equipped with 7HPB + 1RB high performance, grease-packed bearings for smoothness and precision. Additionally, the Cyclonic Flow Rotor Technology sweeps water away from the machined aluminum, super light anodised aluminum spool, minimising corrosion.

With a reversible screw-in carbon fibre handle design and lightweight EVA handle knobs, it offers anglers a comfortable grip, making it easy to fish for long hours without experiencing hand fatigue.

The precision machine cut brass pinion gear and Quick-Set anti-reverse roller bearing provide instant hook sets, so you never miss a catch while on the water. The ITX CB spinning reel also features a heavy-duty, solid aluminum bail wire with a DLC line roller and the RESII: Computer balanced Rotor Equalisation System, ensuring optimal performance in any fishing situation.

There are four total models within the line-up of spinning reels. The 1000 size will feature 5.8:1 gear ratio, while the 2500, 3000 and 4000 models feature a 6.0:1.
