New Luck E Strike owner meets buyers at ICAST


Singer songwriter Toby Keith attended ICAST earlier this month with his recently acquired tackle brand, Luck E Strike.

The country music star also played two hometown concerts before his trip to Florida, indicating continued good progress from recent illness.

Keith purchased the 53-year-old company – famous for lures like the Redman Spinnerbait – with the aim of restoring it to former glory. In Orlando, he met with buyers, manufacturers and suppliers.

Luck E Strike, which has been rebranded in red, white and blue, is endorsed by bass fishing great Jimmy Houston, who designed the Redman Spinnerbait, and operated by General Manager Jeff Williams and Operations Manager Todd Hempen.

“It’s a big deal for the fishing industry to have Toby involved in bringing the brand back to where it ought to be,” said Houston.

Keith’s song ‘I Love This Bar’, a five-week number one single, recently passed the 100-million stream mark on Spotify. He has recorded 42 top 10 hits and 32 number ones.
