VMC Peche veteran Mathieu to head up global operations

Cyrille Mathieu has been promoted to General Manager at VMC Pêche. He will lead all global hook and terminal tackle operations at the company’s headquarters and factory in Morvillars, France.

The position was previously covered by President Cyrille Viellard, who is stepping back from operations, but remains as President.

Mathieu (pictured) joined VMC in 1997 and in his 26 years at the company has been VP Sales and Marketing in both France and the US, VP Sales and Marketing Americas and General Manager in the US.

“Cyrille’s extensive experience in developing long-term relationships with our retail, OEM and ODM partners worldwide places a strong emphasis on providing customised, highly-innovative solutions,’ said Viellard.

“We are very excited about this promotion and believe VMC will strengthen its leadership position globally under his direction.”

Mathieu said he was honoured to take the lead at ‘one of the industry’s legendary manufacturers’.

“I look forward to meeting lure manufacturers and industry partners at the upcoming ICAST show in Orlando and at other events across the globe,” he added.
