Brazil’s largest supplier of fishing line – with a pedigree stretching back over 70 years – outlined its ambitious expansion plans during its third appearance at EFTTEX.
Mazzaferro, owner of the Triton, Araty, Araty Superflex, Dourado and Mazzaferro brands, already has export markets in over 65 countries across the globe, but is looking to boost that to 100 over the next 18 months.
The company’s Business Director, Rogerio Salvaia, told Angling International: “We have been selling in Europe for half a century and see it as an important market for more expansion.”
On the first day of the European showpiece in the Hungarian capital of Budapest, the company enjoyed positive talks with distributors in Holland, Greece, Malta, Turkey, Australia and China.
Salvaia added: “We spoke to representatives from 30 companies on day one, but the following two were much quieter. Imagine what business we could have done if each day had been like the first!”
After a successful EFTTEX, Mazzaferro heads to Orlando, Florida next month for ICAST.
“We have a range of really good products at a competitive price that suit markets across the world and look forward to showing them off again to dealers across the US and beyond,” added Salvaia.
