EFTTEX: Storage box maker now planning big push into angling

An EFTTEX newcomer from outside angling says it was inspired to enter the angling market by one of Scandinavia’s top tackle suppliers.

Denmark-based raaco is an established provider of storage solutions for the automotive, plumbing and electrical industries with a bluechip list of clients that is headed by Aston Martin, Airbus and Boeing.

It has now added another strand to the business – angling – following an enquiry from Westin Fishing’s Elias Narvelo, who asked the company if it made products for anglers. This resulted in the production of a high-end box for Westin – and an entry-point for raaco into angling.

“Our involvement with Westin really spurred us to enter the category,” said raaco International Sales Manager Anders Christensen (left of picture). “Its information gave us the opportunity to build high-end quality products that will last the lifetime of anglers.”

Raaco’s boxes for anglers were launched in the spring of last year and the 15 products in its range were shown off for the first time at last week’s EFTTEX.

Now the company is looking for wholesalers, distributors and OEM partners.
