Share

Following its takeover by a local partnership, one of Wyoming’s best-known fly fishing shops reopened its doors on May 12th following a refurbishment.

Westbank Anglers, based in Wilson, exchanged hands at the end of the year and has been closed for several months to allow renovations to take place. “We look forward to preserving the legacy of the brand in its current location, while expanding its offering,” said Mike Dawes, Westbank’s Managing Partner.

“One of those offerings is complete and we are extremely excited to open up the remodelled fly shop.”

Anglers have been invited to attend the grand reopening alongside representatives from fly fishing tackle suppliers Farbank Enterprises – owner of the Redington, Sage, and RIO Products brands – Montana Fly Company, Airflo and Patagonia. Westbank Anglers opened in Jackson Hole in 1986 and has served as a fly shop, guide service and travel agency in the decades since. It offers guided trips on the Snake, South Fork, Green and New Fork rivers in addition to Yellowstone National Park and other waters
