Carp Austria celebrates tenth anniversary at new venue

Austria’s premier carp fishing show is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary at a new venue.

Carp Austria will now take place at Messe Tulln, just 30km from the Austrian capital of Vienna, on December 2nd and 3rd this year following nine years at Pyramide Vösendorf. The organiser says that the previous venue was literally ‘bursting at the seams’ and could not accommodate the extra space needed to enlarge the popular event.

However, it also blamed a ‘disproportionally massive’ rent increase of well over 300% and new parking fees introduced by the venue for the decision to move.

“The new event location provides exhibitors and visitors with a larger and more modern premises for companies to present an even wider range of fishing accessories and services. From carp baits, rods and reels to clothing and boats, the fair has everything that a carp fisherman needs,” said a spokesman for Carp Austria.

In addition to more than 100 exhibitors covering carp fishing tackle, suppliers of accessories for catfishing and modern spinning will be represented.
