Recognition for ‘Made in USA’ supporting retailers and manufacturers


America’s oldest terminal tackle manufacturer has set up a new programme to recognise retailers and manufacturers committed to supporting American-made products.

The Rome Specialty Company (RSC) has created the American Made Partner (AMP) programme that will present awards to retailers carrying its ROSCO, SAMPO and DONNMAR products.

RSC has been making terminal tackle in Rome, New York, since 1926  and credits its longevity in the face of ever-increasing foreign competition to the quality of the products it produces on home soil.

“We stand behind products that are American-made and the retailers that sell those products.” says Jack Butts, RSC President.

“We developed the AMP Programme and Award to recognise retailers that are committed to supporting our country and manufacturers that work hard every day to supply jobs to people in our communities”

RSC urges domestic manufacturers to keep producing the highest quality tackle in the world, retailers and wholesalers to keep stocking and supplying it, and the consumer to demand that their fishing tackle is made in the USA.
