Predator company Fairpoint Outdoors is to make a big push for expansion in the UK with its Westin and Kinetic brands.
The Danish manufacturer has set what it describes as ‘bold targets’ for the next two years backed by investment in staffing, new systems and product designs.
Fairpoint recently appointed the experienced Richard Taylor, formerly of Hardy, Leeda and Svendsen Sport, as Country Manager for England, Scotland and Wales, with Thom Hunt moving into a full-time marketing role.
There is further investment in marketing planned for this year, with talks currently taking place with freshwater and saltwater experts as potential additions to the Westin UK pro-staff team.
Fairpoint COO Thomas Sanotra said: “The potential for us in the UK is huge for both our brands. That is why we have invested in a new, bespoke UK business system offering retailers a streamlined way to do business with us like never before.
“And with new UK-specific products coming in 2023 and beyond, we are perfectly positioned to hit our ambitious sales targets.”
Westin’s reputation to date has been built on rods and lures, but the Allerød-based business is building positions in other categories with a recent luggage relaunch, new braided line and a sunglasses range. Complementing this is a Kinetic offering focused on a wide range of saltwater, lure and clothing options.
