Dick’s ramps up eCommerce sales strategy with new appointment
One of the biggest retailers of fishing tackle in the US has appointed a Chief eCommerce Officer to drive its strategy for continued online growth.
Denise Karkos joins Dick’s Sporting Goods after a year (2022) when its eCommerce net sales were the highest in its history.
Karkos arrives at the 850-store company with a glowing track record. She was most recently Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at satellite radio giant Sirius XM for four years, where she managed the Pandora and Sirius XM brand portfolio.
Before that she spent almost ten years in the financial services industry as CMO at TD Ameritrade. Earlier in her career she was Advertising Manager at L.L. Bean.
Karkos was named 2019 CMO of the Year by Ad Age and received a Brand Genius Award from Adweek. She was also a member of the Notre Dame women’s soccer team, serving as team captain during her senior season.
