Hackney: ‘Signing is like getting the band back together’

Signing a sponsorship deal with one of the world’s top hook and terminal tackle brands is like ‘getting the band back together again’, according to veteran Bassmaster Elite Series angler Greg Hackney.

After agreeing a deal with Gamakatsu, Hackney said: “For me, joining the team is like getting the band back together. I started using its hooks in the 90s and never looked back. I have been blessed in my career to surround myself with leaders of the industry and now the circle is complete.”

Ted Thibault, Gamakatsu US Sales Manager, said: “It is a great honour to add an angler of Greg’s skill level and success to our pro team in 2023.
