AFFTA invites members to virtual annual meeting

Share

Members of the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) have been invited to its Virtual Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, January 26th.

Those attending will join AFFTA’s Executive Director, Lucas Bissett (pictured), and the Executive Committee for presentations on accomplishments, finances and what the future holds for the association.

The meeting comes after an eventful year in which the annual IFTD show returned after multiple postponements but attracted only 850 attendees, of which 90 were fly shops.

AFFTA has since renamed the event The AFFTA Confluence and introduced a new format for 2023 that it believes is ‘better suited’ to the changing needs of the trade.

The association partnered with analytics company TrackFly in August to create a more robust picture of the industry and help businesses make more informed decisions.

It also ran its inaugural AFFTA Industry Summit in October in Charleston, South Carolina, to discuss the most important issues surrounding fly fishing and to compile an action list for the future.

The meeting starts at 12pm central time (US and Canada).
