Trika looking to hit bullseye with rod market entry

Share

A former archery equipment manufacturer has introduced a new rod that it believes will revolutionise the market – ten years after first having the idea.

Wisconsin-based Trika has been developing outdoor products for more than two decades, but turned seriously to fishing after selling its archery brands, Field Logic and Ravin.

“We’d been talking about it for ten years,” says Executive VP and part-owner Michael Weinkauf, who helped reassemble the team that had brought the company success in the past.

Rigorous independent testing against competitor products has revealed that the new rods are twice as sensitive, much lighter and capable of casting further, says Trika.

The series includes five spinning and seven casting models equipped with high-end guides, carbon reel seats and ergonomic grips. The rods are designed, developed and made in the US and all are priced at $349.99.
