Vista Outdoor, the new owner of Simms Fishing Products, expects to report sales of $782m for its second financial quarter, a gain of 0.4% on the same period last year.
Simms, which was acquired by Vista for $192.5m in August, joined the company’s Outdoor Products segment, which predicts a 6% increase in sales to around $349m.
The company’s other segment, Sporting Products, is expected to deliver sales of approximately $432m, down 6%.
A leading manufacturer of fishing apparel and footwear for the fly fishing market, Simms joined nearly 40 other outdoor and sporting brands at Vista when it was acquired in July.
“Simms will be a central plank in our long-term growth strategy and will be the anchor of our new fishing platform within Outdoor Products,” said Chris Metz, Vista Outdoor CEO.
All financial results in yesterday’s press release should be considered preliminary, says Vista, and could be subject to change before the company files its quarterly report for the quarter ended September 25th.
