Scandinavian tackle company Fairpoint Outdoors, owner of the Westin and Kinetic brands, has made three senior appointments.
Thomas Sanotra, Robert Peetz and Robert Valkeneer have joined Fairpoint’s management team after leaving Svendsen Sport, which was acquired by Pure Fishing earlier this year.
Sanotra becomes Chief Operating Officer, Peetz Purchase Manager and Valkeneer Senior Product Manager.
Sanotra spent almost ten years with Fairpoint before joining Svendsen in 2019 and returns to take on a leading role in the development of the company, taking charge of purchase, product development and marketing.
“He was one of the architects behind the rebranding of Westin so it is no coincidence that we chose Thomas for this central role,” said Thomas Eldor Petersen, Westin CEO.
“I am happy to be back with Fairpoint and to help with its ambitious goals for Westin and Kinetic in and outside of Scandinavia,” said Sanotra. “The team has done a great job in the three and a half years I have been away, which will make it easier to hit the ground running.
“Fairpoint’s employees are extremely dedicated. Most of them have been with the company for many years, giving them a keen understanding of the overall vision and goals and how to achieve them.”
Peetz, who was Purchase and Product Manager at Svendsen, will lead Fairpoint’s purchase department – described by the company as ‘an increasingly important position’. In his 25 years in the tackle industry he has gained experience in everything from product development to planning and sourcing.
The equally experienced Valkeneer has worked on prestige brands including Shakespeare, PENN and DAM. “Fairpoint is a very ambitious company and being part of that fills me with enthusiasm,” he said. “This is a fantastic new adventure for me.”
