Nichols Lures has acquired Dirty Jigs Tackle, a brand it has been assisting with OEM production for the past year. Both brands will be manufactured at the same facility in Thomasville, Georgia.
“We have a reputation for creating tournament-grade tackle delivered on time and we are excited to extend our commitment to excellence with the Dirty Jigs brand,” said Brooks Woodward, President and owner of Nichols Lures.
“Curt Demerath, the founder of Dirty Jigs, built an incredible company around a superior product and our team is ready to continue that legacy.
“Nichols Lures exists not just to make the perfect lure but, more importantly, to make an impact on our community. We want to employ and support as many people in Thomasville and the surrounding area as possible. This acquisition will ensure that we have plenty of work in the pipeline to keep our entire crew busy.”
Demerath, who started his company in 2004, said Woodward shared his vision for the product and the sport. “Now is the time to hand over the reins and I can’t think of anyone I have more faith in than Brooks Woodward. I know there will be many new and better things to come from Dirty Jigs with him at the helm.”
Nichols Lures was founded in 1989 by Dave Nichols, who began by making jigs and spinnerbaits in his garage in East Texas. He sold the business to Woodward in 2012.
