US award winnner: Entering EFTTEX Awards in 2022 is a ‘no-brainer’

Share

US fly rod and reel maker Temple Fork Outfitters (TFO) was just beginning to make its mark at EFTTEX before COVID abruptly put a stop to its trips across the Atlantic.

The Texas company picked up an award on its second appearance at the event in Amsterdam in 2018 and had steadily built on that success the following year in Brussels. Nick Conklin told Angling International: “We were slowly building up awareness of the brand when the pandemic struck.

“Winning an award for the Axiom II Switch was really exciting for us and gave us a lot of extra brand recognition, which was our aim in our early appearances at the show. Now the New Product Showcase is back – albeit in a virtual format – it is a no-brainer for us to enter again.

“We were not ready for the interest we had at the show prior to COVID and picked up a number of countries across Europe. The reaction to our rods and reels was very positive and visitors to our booth appreciated our lack of ‘techno-babble’ when describing our products. Our price-points, warranty and determination to make life as easy as possible for the consumer also registered with them.

“Next year will be the third time we will have a booth at EFTTEX and we are looking forward to another awesome experience. In the meantime the awards promises to maintain the profile we have gained in European markets and to launch a new rod.”
