Pure Fishing Europe puts on ‘milestone’ trade show in Prague and promises bigger next year


Nearly 300 of Pure Fishing Europe’s top retailers in the region and media – including Angling International – attended the group’s first in-person sales meeting since COVID this week in the Czech Republic.

The invited customers saw first hand the 2022 launches from its top brands including Penn, Abu Garcia, Berkley, JRC and Hardy during the two-day event.

Dave McCartney (right), Senior Brand Manager Europe, hailed the event as a huge success. He told Angling International: “It was really important for us to get together with our customers again and give them an opportunity to see and feel the new launches in person. Hearing guys we have known for a long time say that it was the best show they had ever attended made us feel really proud

“We have not seen many of these people for three years so it was good to renew acquaintances and put on a milestone event to mark the end of three difficult years.”

He added that Pure Fishing planned to stage a similar event next year and said it would be bigger and better. “We will have the recently acquired brands from Svendsen Sport, including the likes of Savage Gear, DAM, and MADCAT, presenting their new launches at the event so there will be even more for our customers to see.”
