What has been described as the ‘first-ever’ premium rod for kids will be among three new product introductions and a new offering to rod builders launched by Kistler at its ICAST booth this week.
And visitors to the ICAST on the Water got a preview of them all today, including the flagship introduction for the youth market – the Grasshopper. The company’s Jacob Bigelow told Angling International: “The founder of the company, Trey Kistler, sees youth fishing as an important growth sector and fundamental to securing the next generation of anglers.”
The 4ft 6ins rod is making its debut alongside the Chromium rod and reel combo and the Texas Mag wader rod.
The company also announced that it will be making its carbon blanks available to anglers to cater for the growing custom rod building market. Bigelow added “There is a growing number of anglers who enjoy making and crafting their own unique sticks.”
