Jay Harris swaps Savage Gear US for American Baitworks

Jay Harris has left Savage Gear Americas after four years to join American Baitworks as Vice President of Sales.

Harris (pictured) has been in the industry for 16 years and is seen by American Baitworks as key to the growth of its product range and to its contract manufacturing soft plastics business.

He will be responsible for expanding the company’s BaitFuel, Freedom Tackle, Halo Rods, NetBait, Scum Frog, STH Bait Co. and Snag Proof lines.

He will build the company’s manufacturing business primarily by growing opportunities for bait makers to leverage American Baitworks’ state-of-the-art location in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The facility offers product design, mould manufacturing, injection moulding, package design and packaging, along with pick and pack fulfilment services.
