ICAST puts focus on women’s participation

Share

This year’s ICAST trade show in Orlando will be the first to host a special women’s networking event.

Hosted by Shimano and the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation, the event will give visitors to the show the opportunity to learn more about the RBFF’s consumer-facing brand Take Me Fishing and its Women Making Waves initiative.

The RBFF, the organisation driving fishing participation in the US, has identified the female sector as among the fastest-growing categories in fishing and boating and is working to increase that momentum.

The two-hour session will facilitate discussion on key findings from the RBFF’s new research on female anglers. Attendees can also listen to Camber Outdoors’ efforts on workplace diversity, equity and inclusion.

“We encourage visitors to share the invitation with other industry professionals who would like to network and provide input and insight into female fishing participation,” said Rachel Auslander, Director Partnerships and Development at the RBFF.

Time: 4-6pm, Tuesday, July 19th.
Place: Room S310G/S310H, Orange County Convention Center
