Hobie, the leading manufacturer of fishing kayaks, has launched a campaign – United by Water Ukraine – to help those affected by the war in the eastern European country.
In partnership with BRD Custom, it has designed six unique Ukrainian-themed skins and applied them to the popular Mirage Compass pedal kayaks and made them available at over 40 dealerships throughout the US and Europe.
The custom Ukrainian-themed kayaks will be sold in Europe and raffled off in the US with 100% of the proceeds going to Revived Soldiers Ukraine, a non-profit organisation that works to promote awareness of human rights and freedoms while delivering humanitarian aid to those in need.
The initiative between Hobie and BRD Custom was influenced by having friends and team members in Ukraine, and both brands felt a desire to support the Ukrainian people in the humanitarian crisis.

“Here at Hobie we have always tried to find ways to use our brand‘s power for good. Like the rest of the world, we are shocked and devastated by recent events in Ukraine,” said Kelley Woolsey, Hobie’s Vice President of Global Sales, Service and Marketing.
“Today, more than ever, we are an inter-connected global community and we must find ways to help each other. That’s why we are doing our part at Hobie and launching this raffle with our authorised retailers to give 100% of proceeds to support the humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.”
