New Temple Fork entry-level rods promise ‘incredible value’

Temple Fork Outfitters (TFO) has 20 years’ experience of building two-handed rods, so the company’s new PRO III comes with more than a little expectation.
Launched at ICAST, it has been designed for new and intermediate anglers and has evolved from previous models to become a casting improvement tool that offers ‘incredible value’.

The Pro III has a wider sweet spot to allow casters to better feel the rod load, understand when it isn’t properly loaded and refine the steps to correctly place a fly in front of a fish.
“We have modernised it and styled it in a way that fits the modern angling scene, while at the same time keeping the performance and efficiency true to its past,” explained TFO’s Brand Manager, Brad Amy.
“It now has a moderate action taper that is both easy to load and cast, while being powerful enough to confidently land fish.”
The Pro III series comprises six models – 2-weight through to 8-weight – in lengths of 11ft to 13ft. All feature grain and gram windows for easy line pairing and composite cork with EVA foam accent handles.

The SiC-style stripping guides and double-foot anodised snake guides complete the classy look. All Pro III rods are packaged in a labelled rod sock and rod tube.
“This new series delivers exceptional casting performance and efficiency,” added Amy. “When combined with TFO’s lifetime warranty, these rods are the perfect choice for anglers seeking attractive, skill-refining tools.“
