Hans Maasbøl leaves Svendsen Sport

Hans Maasbøl will leave his position as CEO of Svendsen Sport today (Friday). The man who has been at the helm of the Danish company for five successful years makes his departure just weeks after its acquisition by Pure Fishing.

“It has been a great experience to meet such a dedicated industry,” Maasbøl told Angling International. “It has been an absolute pleasure working together with some of the most dedicated people I have ever met in my career.

“This industry is the most powerful I have ever seen when it comes to passion and love for gear.

“The last 24 months have also been the most challenging environment I have ever known, but 24 months in which the industry has learned a lot – both the easy way and the hard way.”

Svendsen Sport almost doubled its top line during Maasbøl’s tenure.
